Original description

Synonyms

Entedon albitarsis Ashmead, Pseudacrias sexdentatus Girault, Pleurotropis olethreutidis Gahan, Pediobius albae Erdös.

Diagnosis

Scutellum entirely reticulate with strong reticulation, anterior 2/3 with elongate meshes, posterior 1/3 with isodiametric meshes; posterior margin of dorsellum evenly rounded; submedian carinae on propodeum strongly diverging posteriorly; petiole 0.8X as long as wide; female gaster circular, 1.1X as long as wide; first gastral tergite reticulate in posterior 1/4, with meshes isodiametric.

Distribution

Mainly a Holarctic species (Boucek 1965, Kamijo 1979, Peck 1985), but also present in northern Neotropical Region (Cuba).

Biology

Primary or secondary parasitoid of small lepidopterous larvae belonging to several different families.
